Day 7

Great Mileage Covered And Hellooo England

Another 52 miles covered yesterday with 1500 feet of ascent but over 2000 decent taking Angela to an overnight stop just south of Ecclefechan (birthplace of Thomas Carlyle one of Scotland’s greatest historians and philosophers). It was brilliant to see the wellness sign again from Angela.

The new support team of JoeF and PeterS are now well established with a number of running friends joining Angela along the route. Just as well as the scenery was pretty boring!

As at 08:50 Angela has already put in the miles this morning and is in Gretna Green as I type. By the time I have posted she will have crossed the river Sark into England.

Today will be challenging (again) travelling down the A6 through Carlisle, Penrith and maybe Shap. Almost at the half way point!!! Keep watching the tracker.
