Angela Is Maintaining The Miles Despite Iffy Feet
Another 48.7 miles covered yesterday with 1750 feet of Ascent. A more urban landscape than the earlier legs. Angela’s feet are still very painful and a significant problem but Angela is already on the move today. The total mileage has just passed the 500 miles mark – what an achievement – only 340 to go!!
Numerous people turned out to support Angela yesterday but a special thank you to the Red Rose Running Club which provided a buddy relay to help her get through the Preston area.
The day ended at Winwick, just north of Warrington, where Charlie provided a quiet place to park and a proper shower – nice one Charlie.
As at 9:00 I can see that Angela has already crossed the River Mersey and Manchester Ship Canal moving into beautiful Cheshire. Lovely countryside (I used to live there) and she will pass Acton Bridge near Northwich. Unfortunately Angela won’t have time to detour to the nearby Anderton Boat Lift – shame, it’s well worth a visit.

Then in’s onwards into Shropshire towards Oswestry – amazing how quickly the towns and counties are being left behind.
You have probably already acheter proscalpin online listened to the interviews yesterday on the Zoe Ball show and Radio Lancashire, if not please do so. For any followers on today’s route, and the following days, please contact your local radio stations for a plug, the more exposure the greater the sponsorship.
One of the pictures below is of Poppy listening to Grandma talking to Zoe Ball. Ahhh.
