Angela and I both live on the edge of the Lake District and spend much of our free time walking, running or cycling up and down the hills. Just like our local terrain, life is full of ups and downs. There are days when you are super motivated to put the work in towards your goals and making great progress, but there are also days (and weeks) where you feel like you’re pedalling hard uphill and not making much progress at all.
We all have to take the rough with the smooth, celebrate the highs and know the lows won’t last forever. If you have a bad day and don’t get out for the exercise you planned, or eat lots of unhealthy food, don’t spend lots of time and precious energy beating yourself up, put the day aside and focus on the next day ahead.
Keep believing in yourself and telling yourself you can do what you set out to achieve. With a new week about to commence, take some time today to think about what you’d like to achieve this week. You’ve got this!
