Could you walk to the shop instead of driving?

Could you cycle to work instead of driving?

Could you get off the bus or train a couple of stops early and walk the rest of the journey?

There are many way of increasing our levels of physical activity and changing your transport habits is one such way! We may be spending a lot more time working from home at the moment, but it is worth thinking about how you can change or adapt your journeys when life gets back to ‘normal’. Whether it be the school run, the shopping trip or the morning commute, walking, running and cycling are great alternatives to driving.

You don’t have to substitute the entire journey, but even a few extra minutes of activity either side will benefit your mental and physical health.¬†You’ll also be helping the environment. Win win!
