Step 3 – Alcohol-Free Days

It is so easy to get home after a long day at work knowing there are still jobs you’ll be doing through the evening, but to have a glass of wine while cooking dinner, then with dinner then after dinner. It can become a habit. I knew it wasn’t a healthy habit and so started the alcohol-free days.

Initially I went alcohol free just one day and then I added others.

I found it to be a lot easier than I thought. I slept better and I woke with more energy to face the day. I also felt more positive about my life in general.

I used to eat unhealthy snacks like crisps or too many salted peanuts with the pre-dinner drink but, if I didn’t have a drink then it was easier to resist the temptation. Also to resist the after dinner chocolates.

There are plenty of alcohol free wine, beer and spirit substitutes available to try. Why not give it a go and let me know how you get on.
